Michael Vick.
I hope you despise your two years in jail. In my opinion, that isn't enough time. Maybe you will find some empathy for the dogs you locked away. Or maybe it would take some fun prisoner games like tie the inmate to their cage with a thick chain around the neck. If you want some of the gory details of his "dog den" go here.
And his parting words were "It was immature. I have a lot of growing up to do." No Vick, you have some "becoming human" to do. What were you THINKING!?! That goes well beyond immature. Let's try another word - INHUMANE.
There are a ton of articles on Vick's case but my favourite line was from Sports Illustrated on-line. "...his crimes fall short of what other athletes have done. After all, he didn't assault a woman or shoot a man." No, he didn't but isn't the abuse of a dependent animal the first step in a basic disregard for life. Especially for a 27 year old man. Is it only a matter of time before the thrill of the fight spills into other areas. I hope there are some good counselors in jail. Vick has a long way to go to realize it was more than the lying that was wrong.
Ba-bye and Merry Christmas. Hopefully Santa will bring you some humanity and compassion - if they have stockings in your little jail cell.

Two years is not nearly enough. I only hope that when he is tried on the State charges in March that they will pile many more years on his sentence. You said it--what he did was inhumane--it was depraved. How anyone can torture and kill an innocent animal I will never understand--but that is not the kind of person, (and I use the word person very lightly in reference to Vick,) I ever want roaming the streets. I hope they lose the key to his cell.
