Warning: This is a very sad video.
Seventy dogs were rescued from a Woodlands, Manitoba breeder this weekend by the good people over at Diamond Edge Grooming Salon. The video below shows the condition of the rescued spaniels. It is horrifying. You can read the full story from the Winnipeg Free Press here.
I headed down to Diamond Edge with some bulk biscuits for them to use as a fund raiser to pay for the medical costs and care to bring these puppies back to life (and a few extras for the pups). I briefly spoke with the owner of the grooming salon, Kim Kaufmann. She looked exhausted and heartbroken. Kim commented that she could barely move her hands anymore from grooming the severely matted dogs. She looked so sad.
American Cocker Spaniels and Beagles were rescued from the breeder. Anyone looking to adopt one of these poor souls should contact Diamond Edge Grooming Salon in St. Norbert at (204) 255-4377.
It is so sad that this continues to happen. Thankfully we have good people in this world willing to right the wrongs of others. Good luck to Kim and her team. Thank-you for being so kind.
Things like this make me really sad. I look into my dogs eyes and wonder how could someone hurt an innocent animal like that? My dog and others includes are sweet, innocent and all they want is love, affection, understanding, reassurance, and acknowledgement.
I cry everytime I watch Animal Cops because the stories are so heart breaking.
